Neil’s Tribe (Exceptional Finds on Fifla demand Rewrite of History)
In pictures and fake archaeological artefacts, a museum-style showcase presents the remnants of the “Tribe of the Owl Cult”, or the so-called “Neil’s Tribe”, named after Dr. Neil Anglidashikan, who was the first archaeologist of the Filfla-dig to attribute artefacts to the Owl Cult.
Prehistoric teeth, petrified fingers, various artefacts and stones give insights into a fascinating ancient tribe of which traces were discovered on the island of Filfla, an uninhabited island of the Maltese coastline.
B/W prints, photographs, paper maché objects, human teeth, metal, plastic objects.
Various sizes, 2014
A collaborative project by Aksel Hogenhaug and Bettina Hutschek
